Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, this role is able to work from home, or when safe to do so, at their oﬃce at Work.Life in Bermondsey.
There will be a requirement to travel both domestically and periodically internationally to enable you to effectively carry out the responsibilities of this position. You will also need to work outside the core working hours from time to time.
Focus of Activity
The Business Development Executive is a key member of the UK Regional Team and will play an important role in driving our clients growth in the UK&I. The individual will focus on the development of new revenue within the UK&I, through the acquisition of new customers and, in partnership with the Client Account Manager the expansion of existing customers.
The role will also play an active role in lifting the brand of our clients in the region.
Where time is spent
Sales activities including research, outreach, presentations, product demonstrations, stakeholder meetings, follow up activities, preparation of presentations and proposals, contracting, internal handover meetings with client teams.
Internal collaboration with marketing, product, client teams and others to adequately respond and compete for every opportunity and successfully execute solution selling.
Relationship development and networking, including attending events and industry gatherings.
Proactively maintain relationships with relevant industry bodies.
Present yourself and the brand as thought leaders and increase their brand presence and reputation in identiﬁed/targeted markets.
Using and extending on existing relationships within relevant industry bodies, constantly seek to better understand the market demands and client needs in order to better develop solutions - based on research.
Timely submission of business development reporting requirements (including; CRM, pipeline, forecasting)
Working as part of the global BD team, collaborate on continued streamlining of their Business Development processes and collaborate with the team on global opportunities.
Relationship with the business
Independent contributor to growth of revenue.
Partners with product, marketing, ﬁnance, legal and others internally as needed to execute successful solution based selling.

The BDE, UK has adequate decision making in terms of negotiating contracts, pitch and proposals. They will not be able to sign contracts on behalf of the business.
The BDE, UK, has travel and expenditure budget responsibility for sales meetings in accordance with relevant policies/procedures.
