As the world battles to reduce and reverse the impacts of global warming, global superpowers are implementing legislation to curb the carbon emissions of real estate while also creating incentives to promote climate technology investment. The Inflation Reduction act in the United States is the largest climate investment in history with over $110 billion already deployed across the private sector. Europe and APAC are following suit with the adoption of climate technology in many ways a little further forward than those across the pond, although the deployment of capital has some catching up to do.
Going forward into 2024, to help companies stay ahead of the curve and ensure they are contributing to a healthy and vibrant future, whilst also meeting all ESG requirements and regulations, we will be expanding on our existing success with a greater focus on ‘Climate Tech’. This vertical will be led by Xan Winterton, where he will be providing the best ESG, Sustainability, Climate and Carbon professionals to the most innovative organisations within Climate Technology, Smart Buildings & PropTech across the globe.
Construction Technology
As one of the largest industries in the world, generating 13% of the world’s GDP and with a predicted global growth of 35% in the next 10 years, the construction industry has been slow to adopt technology. However, over the last few years, we have seen exponential growth in the sector, watching it transform and digitalise at a rapid pace. The industry has begun to see the value in technology, with investors targeting innovative strategies and solutions that drive energy efficiency and sustainability more than ever.
Headed by Romey Oulton, LMRE’s ConTech vertical focuses on companies (in particular, high-growth start-ups) in the AECO and manufacturing space within the North American, EMEA and APAC markets. They cover everything from pre-seed through to post-IPO (sweet spot is VC backed SaaS and SaaS/Hardware start-ups!), plus work with traditional construction firms to find talent for their innovation/technology divisions. Due to their niche and specialized focus, they cover all GTM roles (sales, customer sucess, marketing, implementation, operations and so on!) from junior to C-Suite positions. Clients include OpenSpace, Datumate, Ecomedes, OnSiteIQ, UpCodes, Buildots, Bentley Systems, 4M Analytics, Rugged Robotics, Clearstory, Trunk Tools, Qualis Flow and many more!
