Our client is seeking an experienced Product Manager to join them in building the smart building ecosystems of the future. In this role you'll be working with their development and design team to plan, deliver, and iterate on their products, and to build out their value propositions.
As a Product Manager, you'll be thoughtful technologist who constantly asks, "Why?", who cares about detail, and who wants to work in the exciting emerging field of smart spaces. While you'll initially be focused on planning and organisation, as you settle in you'll be expected to take on more product vision work and to help us build their value proposition across their main verticals.
Break down complex user and business needs into a managable product backlog, working with designers and developers to understand how its success could be measured, and how best to maximise its value Champion service design and ethical product development both inside and outside iterating on and measurably improving their product management process
Develop and deliver documentation, progress reports, and presentations that support their products, teams and clients
Work with the design team to understand their users' needs and what's needed to produce ethical, thoughtful products that solve real problems
Work with the developers to understand how best to utilise what's possible with their platform and technology, and to capitalise on what's coming in the future
Work with their sales team to understand how best to support their business goals
Work with their delivery team to understand how their hardware and software is deployed and installed to best support them as they support their customers
Use all of the above to build and present a cohesive vision of their products to help guide goal-setting and direction for the company
Work directly with customers to understand their needs across their business verticals
Work onsite (when necessary) to best understand and develop their products and how they're best built for every part of their lifecycle
- from installation, to use, to removal/replacement
WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
(No single person can do everything. This isn't a list of hard requirements - even if some of these don't sound like you, please do still apply.) You are an experienced product manager with a technical background who's able to communicate complex systems well to non- technical stakeholders
7+ years of experience, with at least 3 of these years in a product management role Proven ability to communicate with high-level stakeholders regarding technical subjects Experience having worked with multi-platform teams building complex products Experience and opinions on Agile and SCRUM methodology
Ability to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity Some experience with service-design
