Senior Mobile Engineer (iOS / React Native)

Our client is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to play a key role in shaping the technical direction of their mobile platform. This is an opportunity for an experienced software engineer who is passionate about mobile technologies, driven by innovation, and eager to take ownership of developing and enhancing modern digital products used in complex, real-world environments.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and scale advanced mobile applications, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability across a range of real-world operating environments, including offline and connectivity-constrained scenarios.
• Work hands-on with native mobile technologies and platform-specific integrations, incorporating third-party SDKs, device capabilities, and specialised data capture or visualisation tools where required.
• Contribute to the evolution of mobile features that support data collection, visualisation, collaboration, and operational workflows within complex field-based environments.
• Drive the mobile software delivery lifecycle, including CI/CD processes, automated testing strategies, release management, and deployment across major mobile app marketplaces.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering, product, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences and integrated solutions across mobile, cloud, and platform services.
• Provide technical leadership, contribute to architectural decisions, and support best practices in mobile development.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience developing and delivering mobile applications using modern cross-platform technologies, with expertise in TypeScript and mobile application frameworks.
• Deep understanding of mobile platforms, application lifecycles, performance optimisation, debugging, and native development concepts.
• Proven experience managing the end-to-end mobile application release process across major app distribution platforms.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated delivery workflows for mobile applications.
• Strong background in automated testing, including unit, integration, component, and end-to-end testing methodologies.
• Experience integrating native platform capabilities, third-party SDKs, and custom modules into mobile applications.
• Solid understanding of API integration, offline-first architectures, synchronisation strategies, and real-time data-driven applications.
• Experience with modern application architecture patterns and state management approaches.
• Familiarity with augmented reality (AR), computer vision, 3D visualisation, or related immersive technologies is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and design teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Familiarity with digital modelling, visualisation, or data-rich design platforms used within engineering, construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Experience delivering mobile applications across multiple platforms, with an understanding of platform-specific requirements and cross-platform development considerations.
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, intelligent automation workflows, or emerging software engineering practices that enhance productivity and accelerate delivery.
