About the Role
Our client is a rapidly growing IoT and smart infrastructure business expanding its North American presence following strong success across Asia. They are now hiring a foundational Director of Strategic Alliances to build and scale their partner ecosystem from the ground up.
Rather than focusing on direct sales, this role is centred on developing a scalable distribution model through strategic partners, platforms and integrators.
The platform combines AI and IoT technology to digitise legacy utility meters and transform physical building data into audit-ready ESG and compliance intelligence — without requiring infrastructure replacement.
This is a high-impact opportunity to build a partner-led ecosystem across the smart buildings, ESG and PropTech markets throughout North America.
What You’ll Do
You will own the North America partnership strategy and execution, including:
- Build and scale a partner ecosystem from the ground up, spanning:
- System integrators (SIs)
- Building technology providers
- ESG and climate-tech platforms
- Property technology (PropTech) consultancies
- Embed VeriReader into existing software platforms through APIs and strategic integrations
- Develop channel and co-sell motions with key ecosystem partners
- Establish OEM-style distribution pathways, enabling VeriReader to be embedded within third-party platforms
- Drive adoption through installers, integrators, and infrastructure partners
- Cultivate relationships across key ecosystems, including commercial real estate (CRE), ESG, smart buildings, and energy management
- Translate Asia-based product and engineering direction into a scalable go-to-market strategy for the U.S.
- Support early-stage deployments, ensuring partner success through rollout, onboarding, and adoption phases
About You
We’re looking for an ecosystem builder – not a traditional seller.
You likely bring:
- 8–10+ years of experience in:
- Strategic alliances
- Partnerships
- Channel sales or ecosystem development
- Smart buildings, PropTech, ESG SaaS, or IoT infrastructure
- Experience working with:
- System integrators (SI networks)
- Building automation or smart building platforms
- Hardware–software or infrastructure ecosystems
- Strong understanding of:
- SaaS and API-driven integration models
- IoT and hardware deployment economics
- Channel-led revenue strategies
- Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Experience working across global teams (APAC exposure strongly preferred)
- Strong operational discipline, with the ability to manage multiple partner workstreams simultaneously

Compensation
- Base: $130K–$160K
- OTE: ~$220K–$280K+
- Milestone bonuses
