Our Client is looking for a Business Development Director.

Our Client’s vision is to become a leading global partner in accelerating the shift toward a net-zero built environment and contributing to a more sustainable future. Since operational emissions from buildings account for roughly 28% of global greenhouse gases, they are strengthening their go-to-market approach to better support clients on their decarbonization journey.
Their advanced technology and data-driven insights already help clients achieve an average emissions reduction of about 22%, equating to roughly 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually. By working closely with the clients, they enable meaningful impact through informed, evidence-based decisions – eliminating guesswork and driving measurable results.
In the role of Business Development Director, you will engage with current and potential clients to uncover operational and strategic opportunities that support growth and expand the company’s commercial impact.
  
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans for an assigned market segment or territory, ensuring alignment with annual revenue objectives.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across both established accounts and priority prospects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including asset managers, portfolio leaders, investment groups, and other key decision-makers.
  • Lead value-driven sales engagements that emphasize client outcomes and improved operational sustainability.
  • Manage and support contract negotiations and the structuring of commercial agreements.
  • Create tailored proposals, presentations, and business cases that reflect regional priorities and client-specific needs.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional global teams to ensure business development efforts are fully aligned with organizational strategy.

Requirements

  • You are an accomplished business development professional with established experience across the UK and/or European property sector, particularly within commercial real estate, technology-driven real estate solutions, or sustainability-focused services.
  • 7+ years of experience in senior business development or sales roles within commercial real estate, asset management, or property technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and consistently surpass revenue targets.
  • Well-developed industry network and strong reputation within UK/European real estate markets.
  • Naturally curious, with a strong commitment to delivering meaningful value to clients.
  • Excellent negotiation abilities, stakeholder engagement skills, and influence at senior levels.
  • Familiarity with building operations, energy management, or technical building systems (e.g., HVAC, BMS) is advantageous but not required.
