Our Client is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.

About the Role:
As a Building Development Manager, you are expected to contribute both strategic thinking and relationship-building skills to support business expansion and cross-functional collaboration. You will also be responsible for driving the adoption of cutting-edge technology that is redefining construction layout.

The ideal candidate builds trust with executives, project leads, and site teams through confident communication; takes a structured and analytical approach; and demonstrates strong capability in developing data-driven business cases. You should also be motivated to thrive in fast-paced environments that reward initiative, adaptability, and long-term thinking.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Identify and engage prospective clients whose operations align with the company’s mission, value proposition, and technological offering.
  • Lead business development activities through direct outreach, industry events, and professional networks to generate qualified opportunities.
  • Build and validate business cases that clearly demonstrate return on investment, efficiency improvements, and strategic impact.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial discovery through to contract finalisation, ensuring alignment between internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Work closely with operations and senior leadership to support successful pilot programmes, promote enterprise-wide adoption, and drive account growth across client portfolios.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering, design, construction management, sales, or a business-related field.
  • 4+years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships within industrial, construction, or technology-led sectors.
  • Proven ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead complex discussions at executive level.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for client meetings, internal collaboration, and industry events.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, strategic planning, or within a startup or high-growth business environment.
  • Familiarity with emerging construction technologies (e.g. robotics, BIM, surveying) and a solid understanding of construction operations, site processes, and project management.
  • Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end sales cycles and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Experience overseeing pilot programmes or implementing new technologies in B2B contexts.
