Our client is in search of a visionary Chief Executive Officer to guide the company into its next phase of growth.

About the Role

The Chief Executive Officer will lead the organisation’s evolution from a market-leading UK technology product into an AI-enabled Land Intelligence Platform—integrating the land-to-planning pre-construction process and fostering collaboration across the wider development ecosystem.
This is a pivotal strategic stage, requiring a leader who can drive strong commercial performance in the UK, establish product-market fit in the US, and scale the platform into a global solution for property developers. Reporting to the Board of Directors and chairing the Senior Leadership Team, the Chief Executive will be responsible for:

  • Delivering the strategic shift from a single-product business to a comprehensive, multi-module SaaS platform offering AI-powered decision-making and collaboration.
  • Driving commercial growth and client retention in the UK, while accelerating international expansion—initially by proving and scaling the US presence.
  • Developing and implementing capital and investor strategies to support sustainable, long-term growth.
  • Safeguarding and strengthening the purpose-driven culture, while embedding operational discipline, performance accountability, and execution excellence.
  • Aligning cross-functional teams to deliver the product roadmap, increase platform adoption, and achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Leading in line with the organisation’s values of accountability, cohesion, and courage.

This role offers a competitive executive remuneration and equity package, alongside a remote-first working model with headquarters in London. It represents a rare opportunity to shape the future of land development at scale—transforming an industry in partnership with an experienced Board and a high-performing leadership team.

Responsibilities

UK COMMERCIAL RE-ACCELERATION

  • Build efficient go-to-market strategies and teams to deliver annual recurring revenue growth of 20%+.
  • Drive upsell and cross-sell opportunities to at least double average order value.
  • Lead the UK commercial strategy to deliver premium SaaS unit economics benchmarks.

DEVELOPMENT ECOSYSTEM GROWTH

  • Recruit ecosystem partners to deliver added value across the pre-construction process.
  • Build developer integrations to enhance collaboration and enable data-driven, AI-powered decision-making.
  • Monetise a dynamic partner network, creating and scaling new revenue streams.

US MARKET VALIDATION & EXPANSION

  • Move beyond product-market fit to establish and scale growth in the US market.
  • Secure further investment to support expansion into national housebuilders and additional US territories.
  • Demonstrate efficient, repeatable sales processes to underpin sustainable US rollout plans.

PLATFORM SCALABILITY & PRODUCT MATURITY

  • Drive adoption of the full platform, ensuring seamless integration of multiple product modules.
  • Ensure the data strategy and supporting infrastructure deliver high-quality content and data to power AI-driven decision-making.
  • Develop products, packaging, and pricing strategies tailored to priority relationships, markets, and customer segments.

FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP & CAPITAL ALLOCATION

  • Maintain financial stability, balancing growth with strong unit economics (CAC, LTV, churn, MRR/ARR).
  • Shape capital strategy in collaboration with the CFO to secure investment and manage funding requirements.
  • Provide disciplined financial oversight, ensuring cost efficiency and transparent reporting to the Board.

LEADERSHIP & CULTURE

  • Build and lead a high-performing Senior Leadership Team aligned with quarterly objectives and execution cadences.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and performance while preserving the organisation’s mission and values.
  • Act as a transparent and consistent communicator, driving alignment across teams and maintaining Board confidence.

PRODUCT, DATA & ECOSYSTEM STRATEGY

  • Champion cross-functional collaboration and alignment on strategic and go-to-market priorities.
  • Ensure delivery of the product roadmap while guiding investment into competitive, differentiated features and data-led innovation.
  • Drive API, SDK, and marketplace development to expand platform utility and encourage third-party participation.

EXTERNAL REPRESENTATION & STRATEGIC POSITIONING

  • Represent the organisation at key industry events, conferences, and media opportunities, positioning it as a thought leader in the pre-construction process.
  • Build strategic partnerships, influence policy reform, and support industry transformation through external engagement and thought leadership.

GOVERNANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards across both UK and US markets.
  • Establish strong governance practices at Board level, including transparent reporting cycles and effective risk management.
  • Work closely with the Chair and non-executive directors to ensure best practice governance.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a Chief Executive or senior leader within a private equity or growth-capital-backed SaaS business.
  • Deep knowledge of SaaS business models, unit economics, and go-to-market strategies, with experience transitioning from a single-product company to a platform offering.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling businesses, particularly in mid-market or vertical SaaS, with experience in building and monetising partner ecosystems.
  • Strong background in developing and leading high-performing cross-functional teams to deliver strategic, commercial, and product outcomes.
  • Domain expertise within the pre-construction or property development sector, with leadership experience across both UK and US markets.
  • Prior experience in capital planning, managing investor relations, and successfully leading funding rounds or exits.

LEADERSHIP QUALITIES

  • Customer-Led Operator: Deep understanding of customer workflows, able to make evidence-based decisions that deliver clear value and impact.
  • Strategic Platform Builder: Systems thinker with a focus on creating long-term value through connected data, integrations, and ecosystem synergies.
  • Disciplined Executive: Execution-focused, with the ability to bring clarity, urgency, and structure to deliver results.
  • Transparent Communicator: Builds trust through open and structured communication with the Board, investors, and teams.
  • Culture Carrier: Respected leader who can preserve and evolve organisational culture while inspiring innovation and performance.
