VP of Platform Operations & Integration

About the Role
  
Our client is looking for a VP of Platform Operations & Integration to lead the development and execution of the operational infrastructure that supports business growth through acquisition and integration. This role will be responsible for building scalable shared services, standardizing processes, optimizing systems, and creating the operational framework required to successfully integrate new businesses. Working closely with executive leadership, the successful candidate will drive operational excellence across multiple functions while ensuring the organization can scale efficiently and consistently as it grows.
  
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and management of a centralized operating model that supports multiple business units.
• Build and optimize shared services functions across areas such as finance, human resources, technology, business operations, and administrative support.
• Develop and execute post-acquisition integration strategies, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with organizational goals.
• Assess, consolidate, and improve systems, workflows, vendors, and operational processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Establish performance metrics, service-level standards, reporting structures, and operating cadences to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Partner with executive leadership to define organizational structures, operating models, and long-term growth strategies.
• Evaluate and implement technology solutions that improve visibility, operational performance, and decision-making.
• Lead cross-functional integration initiatives and ensure alignment between acquired businesses and the broader organization.
• Build repeatable integration frameworks and playbooks that support future growth and acquisition activity.
• Develop and mentor operational leaders while fostering a culture of execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of leadership experience in operations, business transformation, shared services, post-merger integration, or related functions.
• Proven track record of leading complex integration initiatives within acquisitive, multi-site, high-growth, or private equity-backed organizations.
• Experience overseeing multiple operational functions, including finance, HR, IT, systems, business operations, or shared services.
• Demonstrated success consolidating teams, processes, systems, or organizational structures into scalable operating models.
• Strong organizational design and change management experience.
• Ability to evaluate, select, and implement technology platforms and operational systems.
• Excellent project management and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, supported by a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
• Experience building operational playbooks, governance frameworks, performance metrics, and scalable processes that support long-term growth.
