VP of Investment role based out of LA. Private Equity firm specailising in investments into industrial asset types.

Note: Please only apply if you are based in Loas Angeles, willing to commute 3 times a week to Los Angeles, or willing to relocate. 

Our client seeks to build and invest in value-added business platforms that have a proprietary position in their markets, source investments with favorable supply/demand dynamics and bring intense focus to operating results. They invest in outdoor storage, high-flow-through transportation asset types. 
Summary 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 

  • As the VP of Investments for the West Coast you will drive new business development initiatives in conjunction with the Head of US Investments, Fund Managers and Business Development Team. 
  • Source new investment opportunities from existing and to-be-identified relationships. 
  • Work closely with the wider team to move all aspects of transactions forward from initial identification through final delivery. 
  • Lead the day-to-day management of underwriting and due diligence, including collaboration with in-house and third-party resources. 
  • Manage and train West Coast Region investments team of associates and analysts covering the region 
  • Work with the Head of US Investments, Fund Managers and the associate/analyst team to provide due diligence information and analytical analysis of potential opportunities. 
  • Lead in negotiating contract terms and deal terms for new acquisitions, as opportunities are sourced and pursued. 
  • Develop presentations for clients, investors, committees, and other internal reports. 
  • Work with lenders (in coordination with Debt Capital Markets) to determine availability of project level financing, as appropriate. 
  • Track and report investment status to internal stakeholders, investors, lenders, joint ventures, as needed. 

   
Qualifications 

  • Real estate industry knowledge required (industrial experience highly preferred) 
  • Experience working with Argus, Salesforce, and/or Yardi 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically MS Word and Excel 
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills 
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to understand and communicate investment data 
  • Acute attention to detail 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, negotiate, motivate and lead a team
