PropTech UK Building Engineering Lead role based Remotely in the UK

About Our Client

Our client, founded in 2015, predicts the future of sustainable real estate by replacing intuition with facts. They help property owners, portfolio managers, banks and insurance companies make more responsible decisions through their objective and transparent risk and value assessment platform. The team of 20 people hailing from Finland has helped over 100 customers and done over 2 billion valuations to date. Currently, the company operates in five market areas and is expanding rapidly.


About the Role

Their team is growing rapidly and they are looking for a building and energy expert to help predict the future of sustainable real estate in their UK business. They are in a fast growth phase, which means that you have the opportunity to define your responsibilities and contribute where your skills shine together with their small but efficient team.

The person will join their professional team and will participate in providing customers with reliable analytics and simulation methods related to building condition and lifecycle, renovation costs, energy efficiency and emissions, carbon (operational and embodied) and ESG. There are various tasks such as the development of new calculation methods, validating results, consulting how the machine learning models can be improved and localised for different countries, and educating their internal and external customers.


Skills and Qualifications
  • Relevant degree (engineering or similar)
  • 3 years of expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Building physics, fabric and systems,
    • Construction economics,
    • Building Lifecycle Management,
    • Operational/ Embodied Carbon optimisation,
    • Building Mechanical Engineering
    • Environmental
  • Experience in numerical / simulation modelling,
  • Familiarity with Part L, BREEAM, etc…
  • You are a fast learner and able to absorb new information,
  • Working proficiency in
