PropTech Tech Services Director role based Remote, US

Director, Technology Services will help execute on key strategic priorities, solve problems, build relationships, and ensure all lines of communication with senior leadership are clear, organized and effectively disseminated to all appropriate parties.

This role is designed to work with the leadership of our client’s Technology team and will focus on streamlining operational and tactical execution of their Technology roadmap, and act as a central liaison between the Technology teams and Business Leadership.

Working closely with their Software Engineering, Networking, Security, System, and Support teams, you will ensure execution of strategic technology initiatives is streamlined and be responsible for successful delivery of cutting-edge projects on both operational and strategic initiatives related to their Technology and Digital services.

What you’ll do:
  • Partner with the leadership team to define and drive data-driven goals, roadmaps, track progress, and ensure prioritization and data driven decision-making at all levels.
  • Develop and drive effective internal communications to the IT organization and stakeholders
  • Define, document, and execute a seamless operating workflow for the Enterprise IT group. Manage the cadence of leadership and review meetings and other communications within the group to ensure information is shared across teams and across locations.
  • Project manager / Scrum Master for multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Provide project-based reporting, manage sprints, and communicate project updates to leadership.
  • Manage the WIP for a diverse team of engineers across disciplines to complete projects on time
  • Develop project plans, detail requirements, and identify problems early for remediation.
  • Establish strong partnerships across all levels and functions and collaborate across different teams to get things done.
  • Help optimize and improve current processes and drive efficiency.
  • Help drive accountability and priorities
  • Bring stakeholders together across operations, engineering, and product functions
  • Drive continuous improvement of organizational gaps and inefficiencies
  • Help develop leadership messaging and updates related to the plans and progress of technology initiatives and help define how they come to life within our client’s Technical landscape.
  • Guide and ensure all technical objectives are documented, discussed, and shared with all appropriate leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis through regularly scheduled leadership meetings and, as necessary drive deep-dive solutioning sessions.
  • Design and implement execution plans for technical solutions in special projects that require additional oversight or increased executive awareness.
  • Manage transformation, training, & rollout programs, such as Box, Slack, and others across our client’s North American brokerage business.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement (e.g., set up meeting cadence, prepare agendas/materials)
Who you are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related discipline; Master’s degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in product, engineering, operations, or technical consulting roles and a track record of successful positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Deep familiarity with highly technical product development teams and processes across infrastructure, software, product, user experience, and data science, and an understanding of the applicability of different skills and methodologies.
  • 5+ years project management experience and working with large-scale engineering teams spread across multiple geographies and time zones
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication Skills – This is a role that requires frequent cross- departmental collaboration
  • Proven record of thought leadership and driving organizational and business transformation aligned with enterprise strategies.
  • Proven ability to influence and create outcomes without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence especially when thoughts/ideas are challenged by peers or senior leadership
  • An ability to effectively communicate across different levels of leadership of an organization
  • Demonstrated a personal acceptance of change and the ability to adapt and drive change throughout the organization.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience interacting with IT team to successfully roll-out new digital solutions including hardware, software, and digital transformations.
  • Agile/Scrum Practitioner who also serves as a Coach and Mentor within the organization.
Bonus Points:
  • Strong understanding of enterprise level technology solutions including hosting, enterprise software solutions and hardware implementation projects
  • Knowledge of infrastructure technologies including IT security, network, telecommunications, virtualization and distributed computing platforms, and application development.
  • Prior M&A Technical integration planning experience
