PropTech Senior Software Engineer role based in London, UK

About Our Client

Housing is the largest purchase we make and has the worst customer experience. For renters or leaseholders the poor experience is the same. Our client working to fix this through technology in an industry that’s running last place in the digital transformation of sectors.

The rental market in the UK is typically characterised as combative and is branded with a reputation for poor communication between “Property Owners” and “Tenants”, and this fragmentation is often exacerbated by the use of an intermediary agent that lacks accountability and transparency. Interactions are typically inefficient and unsatisfactory, leaving both parties frustrated.

The quality of rental homes also varies significantly, with 25% of PRS households deemed “non-decent”, and there is increased disenfranchisement with the traditional “feudal” relationship between landlord and tenant. The market is ripe for disruption and technological innovation.

Our client is a digital platform for property owners and renters that uses technology to improve the resident’s experience whilst maximising returns for property owners. They also encourage best practice for property owners and renters through benchmarking and incentives. Be it helping the smallest landlords remain compliant or supporting some of the UK’s largest housing associations maximise their customer experience.

They are building a residential property management platform that removes friction and increases transparency and accountability. Their mission is to empower landlords and tenants, strengthen relationships and improve the rental experience for property owners and tenants alike.
