PropTech Senior Product Manager role based Remotely in the US

Our client is an NYC-based building intelligence and workflow optimization SaaS startup. They help critical facility managers better-understand their operations and promote efficiency improvement through data-driven work.

Our client’s tech leverages the latest in big-data and machine learning to drive real-time engineering and operations management support for customers including hospitals, universities, pharmaceutical, medical, and governmental research facilities, data centers, and other complex commercial facilities.

The role:

The Product Manager is responsible for ensuring the success of projects across the customer-facing product organization. You will work closely with colleagues focused on Software Engineering, Sales and Customer Success, and UX/UI Design. You will be leading day-to-day and sprint execution towards their vision for the product. As PM, you will work directly with stakeholders to record, analyze, and transform business objectives into user stories and project manage from requirements gathering to stories to launching solutions. The ideal candidate has experience delivering B2B SaaS solutions (particularly data-intensive web and mobile apps) and has a firm grasp on common project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and Waterfall.

You will:
  • Manage product development in alignment with product vision, business objectives, and KPIs.
  • Lead project management analysis activities based on industry trends, best practices, and clients’ transformational needs.
  • Synthesize requirements to create clear and comprehensive user stories and solution design documentation.
  • Construct appropriate status reporting and other communications as needed to ensure all project stakeholders and management are well informed and aligned.
  • Lead and support Engineering/Design counterparts in backlog grooming and sprint planning.
  • Establish and lead requirements for validation.
  • Collaborate with business, development, and experience teams to maintain a high level of quality, organization, and standards to ensure maximum project efficiency.
  • Manage scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead change management on in-flight projects to ensure successful and on-time delivery.
  • Help create and manage functional specifications documentation for production.
  • Help create and manage UX/UI specifications documentation for production.
You have:
  • 5+ years in software product management or product ownership
  • Experience as a leader with a proven track record prioritizing and delivering multiple projects.
  • Project management experience in an Agile model, working on complex technology projects, and problem solving.
  • Strong familiarity with software development methodologies (Scrum and others).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience in creating and giving presentations to executive audiences.
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, highly structured thinking, exceptional attention to detail, strong independent project management capabilities, and good follow-through.
  • Product experience in B2B and/or SaaS
  • Strong Excel and Jira knowledge (SQL a plus)
