About our client

My client provides smart-building consulting, building cybersecurity solutions and managed services for commercial, corporate, campus and government real estate organizations. They help their customers enhance experience, increase productivity, lower costs and reduce operational risks.
 
They have developed a consistent and proven technology approach for developing new projects and optimizing existing portfolios that respects the stakeholders and traditional process while not compromising on the realities of today’s building technology, the opportunities of the information age and the cybersecurity threats.
 
Director of Client Services are expected to be able to use mature competencies that support the development and sales of their advisory, assessment and managed services offerings through the complete sales cycle from lead generation to account management.


Responsibilities:

• Educate individuals on smart building concepts and their methodology.
• Drive discussions to help quantify business goals and objectives while defining what the success of an engagement would look like.
• Present sales content and address objections or questions.
• Manage work results to ensure they meet or exceed the stated outcome of a scope of work.
• Organizational alignment/education around Smart Building principles and value propositions.
• Effectively set and manage customer expectations.
• Develop account plans in partnership with account delivery team.
• Manage any account escalations in support of the Engagement Director and subject matter experts
• Manage work efforts and tasks. Quantify internal resource requirements and ensure effort, schedule, and requirements are communicated to extended team members.

• Solve complex problems with simplified approaches.
• Able to manage customer expectations and communicate project status, successes, challenges, and impacts if necessary.
• Understand the principles of building design, construction, and operations. Understanding of IT basic principles is an asset.
• Able to translate technical investments into business/operational value propositions.
• The ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, to individuals and groups at the level appropriate to the audience and topic.
• Highly evident organizational skills and collaborative work style
• An ability to execute work with minimal supervision and direction; can complete required tasks autonomously without direction.
• Can work effectively remotely and in an office environment.
• Can communicate effectively across multiple levels inside a customer organization including the C-suite, executive, and director levels.
 

Experience: Prior consulting or sales experience in commercial corporate or institutional real estate services.
 
Knowledge Set: The candidate needs to have a degree of knowledge in a number (not all) of the following categories:

• Good understanding of the workings of professional service organizations including on how to plan, execute, control, monitor and follow-up.
• Application of a systems thinking approach.
• Needs to be a good problem solver, because every issue in operations need to be approached for solving permanently.
• Should strong subject matter expertise in at least one of the following domains: building technology systems, facility management, construction management, information technology, business management, program management, and/or cybersecurity.
• Should possess skills like agile to provide solutions to his team’s issues.
• Consulting skills including presentation and communication techniques.
• Industry Knowledge: Design and Construction, Commercial Real estate, Information Technology, Energy Conservation, Program Management, Consulting and Professional Services.
