Our client successfully differentiates itself in the venture capital market providing founders and companies with strong commercial partnerships, deep industry expertise, and access to a broad network of industry professionals across global real estate and construction ecosystem.

They are looking for a Portfolio Manager to join as a member of the Proptech team. Portfolio Manager will play a key role in delivering strategic value of their venture investments.

The goal for this role is to accelerate growth of current and future portfolio companies and facilitate their connections with their global platform of 1,200 real estate professionals, enable various commercial partnerships, support knowledge exchange within companies, and create and maintain first-class VC portfolio management reporting. A primary focus will be to understand what the portfolio company needs and how the broader platform can help them achieve their goals.

The responsibilities of this role include:
  • Drive various engagements and collaborations between our client’s Proptech portfolio companies and their global real estate platform across regions and various functions. These engagements could range from one-off knowledge requests to full-scale product implementation across various business units.
  • Support portfolio companies in navigating the organization.
  • Maintain an accurate and up to date view of the portfolio company’s status, their products, and goals; develop and build relationships with business leaders in the portfolio companies.
  • Establish and maintain processes to monitor and track portfolio company engagements across the portfolio and investment teams
  • Produce quarterly portfolio reports in adherence with venture capital and the company’s investment portfolio best practices.
  • Maintain monthly investment performance tracker and performance for existing investments, manage portfolio valuations, track quarterly statement reports and other portfolio reporting responsibilities.
  • Support the broader Proptech & Venture investment team in topical research and selected investment decisions.
  • Develop our client’s connections with early-stage companies in various forms such as Demo Days, community meet-ups, and others.

  • 4-6 years of experience in a startup or technology business development, partnership development, community management roles, or venture capital portfolio development / operations roles, tier one strategy consulting or alternative investment investor relations role.
  • High passion for startup environment, desire to create value in the intersection of fast-growing VC scene and real estate.
  • Self-directed and self-driven with very strong communication and organizational skills and ability to work with a distributed cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
