Product Marketing Director for Series C Smart Building Startup

ONLY San Francisco / Bay Area Based Applicants

Our client is a leading workplace intelligence platform focused on optimizing indoor spaces and buildings. Their platform offers real-time insights to enhance workforce productivity, streamline real estate portfolios, and drive operational efficiencies. They prioritize sustainability by recommending advanced disinfection solutions to reduce chemical usage and waste, along with lowering carbon emissions.
About You:

  • Experienced product marketer, particularly skilled in messaging and positioning within the realms of SaaS and IoT.
  • Interest or expertise in AI, property tech, smart buildings, energy management, and data-driven products.
  • Proficient in crafting engaging content supported by technical analysis and actionable details.
  • Dynamic and confident, capable of leading and influencing cross-functional teams.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead product marketing initiatives including positioning, messaging, competitive analysis, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and create external-facing content.
  • Foster strong feedback loops with product, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Train sales teams and influence product roadmap based on customer insights.
  • Analyze potential partner relationships and drive partner go-to-market activities.
  • Represent the company at events and conferences.

Key Requirements:

  • In office in San Francisco 1-2 days per week
  • 7-10 years of product marketing experience, including in smart buildings, enterprise SaaS, PropTech, and data products.
  • Hardware/Software combination preferred but not a requirement
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to find innovative solutions to complex issues.
  • Comfortable challenging conventions and presenting new ideas.
  • Responsive to market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Proficient in data analysis and strategic planning.
  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred.
