Operations Director

Our client are a leading global retail marketplace.
  
They are looking for an exceptional Operations Director to join the Executive team to drive business growth and operational excellence across the marketplace and secured supply businesses.
  
You would be directly reporting to the Managing Director and will be responsible for scaling existing operations in the UK and Europe. In order to deliver and execute upon our ambitious growth targets, You will need to combine inspirational people leadership, data-centric decision making and have the ability to foster and drive a performance-driven, high accountability culture. The Operations Director will directly lead Site Operations, Production and Service teams, whilst overseeing day to day financial and business reporting.
  
Responsibilities:

• Setting the targets, budgets and OKRs for the business.
• Driving both the scale and efficiency of the marketplace business.
• Launching and managing new secured supply operations.
• Launching and scaling new geographies
• Fostering a high performance, high accountability culture
• Ensuring we continually raise the bar through hiring world-class professionals

About You:

• A proven track record of leading and scaling high-growth, technology-enabled organisations
• Experience of taking existing operations through to profitability
• Ability to inspire, motivate and hold teams and individuals to account
• Experience of hiring, leading and working cross-functionally (finance, operations and customer support)
• A strong communicator, with the gravitas to be a leader both internally and externally
• Ability to operate effectively and be decisive in high ambiguity situations
• Experience launching new geographies from the ground-up a bonus
• Knowledge of two-sided marketplaces, retail and/or real estate is a bonus
