PropTech Lead ESG Advisor role based Remotely in Germany

The Lead ESG Advisor is responsible for scoping and delivering and/or managing the delivery of a suite of ESG advisory services to our client’s customers. He takes customers through the journey from strategy creation and setting goals, to implementation, action planning, and reporting.

They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and has direct experience with the development and implementation of ESG strategies and reporting. Working collaboratively across the organization and building on ESG data that is centrally collected and managed in their core software, the Lead ESG Advisor will function as a key engagement leader with their customers.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • Identify ESG reporting frameworks that are relevant to the customer given their portfolio and the evolving external reporting landscape, including voluntary assessments like GRESB, ECORE, and regulatory disclosures like EU Taxonomy and SFDR
  • Develop enduring ESG reporting workflows for customers
  • Manage the overall ESG reporting process for customers
  • Analyze relevant ESG data and develop additional qualitative content as desired for purposes of reporting
  • Lead discovery of customer ESG strategy requirements, from stakeholder assessments and setting vision statements, to performing materiality assessments and peer benchmarks
  • Develop a customer ESG strategy, including relevant policies and procedures
  • Provide advice and support to help customers deliver on their ESG strategies
  • Help customers set and deliver on ambitious carbon reduction and broader ESG or climate risk related targets, such as net zero targets, including familiarity with SBTi and CRREM
  • Support the professional development of others on the team
  • Supervisory responsibilities
Your Experience:
  • You can work in an environment comfortably that is client facing
  • Have done any work through GRASP reporting
  • Real estate experience is not a must but a big big plus
  • Consultant mindset
  • Experience in ESG
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Comfortable working globally
