PropTech Head of Sales role based in Singapore

Role Context
  • Our client is looking for a sales manager who has already forged a strong career in both the residential real estate and new property development world;
  • They are looking for a passionate, driven and organised sales negotiator and manager who wants to forge a career in a fast-moving ambitious technology business;
  • You will utilize your network and management experience to drive performance in a fast paced start-up sales environment;
  • You must be results-driven and used to working against targets;
  • You must have an existing network of real estate agents, developers and partners;
  • You must have experience in managing a team of sales professionals; this includes managing commission incentives; performance; targets;
  • You should be well versed in recruitment and budgeting for a sales team;
  • Must have experience in using sales tools and systems to manage output;
  • The company work with a range of demanding professionals to provide next generation, market leading services that add value to their business operations, and they need salespeople with experience in estate agencies that understand the needs of their customers and can help them efficiently maximise the return on their investment;
  • You will be interacting with customers to offer a first-class service and act as an ambassador for the brand;
  • You’ll be joining a demanding, ambitious technology company at an early stage, so they’ll expect you to take ownership and responsibility for a broad range of tasks that will help them succeed with their customers;
  • You’ll share our client’s vision and can distil and articulate it powerfully into sales messages in person or print, acting as an evangelist for their brand at every level in their customer organisations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the products and sales department in Singapore;;
  • Generating a pipeline of their product’s sales and opportunities within your market;
  • Managing, retaining and growing key clients;
  • Prospecting and closing new business;
  • Day to day line management of their sales team;
  • Implement systems and measures to track sales outcomes;
  • Take lead in recruiting of new resources in your team;
  • Implement weekly/monthly reports and dashboards to track status of results;
  • Develop new strategies to achieve targets;
  • Develop client relationships and grow accounts;
  • Motivate, coach and train other sales professionals in your team;
  • Attending meetups or trade shows to represent the product and network with new and prospective customers

  • External stakeholders (Clients, Digital Surveyors, Postproduction teams etc.)

What might an average week look like?

It’s important to note that you’ll be joining a demanding, ambitious technology company at an early stage, so they’ll expect you to take ownership and feel responsibility for a broad range of things that will help them succeed. For ambitious, entrepreneurial candidates, you will have an excellent opportunity to develop yourself and the role as the company grows.

You will manage the day to day of the residential sales team and an average day might be split between client calls and internal meetings with your team. You will be expected to drive the system and process for your sales team to succeed and make sure they achieve the targets they have outlined for the month.

Person Specification

You should have experience in the property leasing, sales and new development and build environments. Our client’s ideal candidate has experience with centralized property software and or services with a network of various property agents, brokers, real estate agents, landlords, building councils, developers and so on. This will allow you a rich network which you can lean on to assist with the growth side of your role. You’ll need confidence and charisma and be a proven commercial operator who’s comfortable in dynamic, changing environments, relishes challenges and is motivated by achievement. You should be an articulate communicator who can build relationships quickly, interpret and distil a company’s vision into powerful sales messages and is compelling, credible and effective at all levels. They expect the successful candidate to demonstrate a proven track record in sales and the ability to meet ambitious targets. You should be organised and happy to work out in the field, in return they will offer an exciting, fun environment and the opportunity to further develop your sales and negotiation skills. It is vital that you have a at least 3-5 years experience leading or managing a sales team and are able to develop and implement management systems and processes in order to achieve results.

Key Attributes:
  • Have prior sales experience within the real estate industry in Singapore;
  • At least 7-10+ years experience in direct property or related sales;
  • At least 3-5+ years sales management experience;
  • Show evidence of performance and progression;
  • Have excellent working knowledge of the Singapore real estate market;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Strong leadership and management experience;
  • Experience of self-directed working;
  • Well versed in the day to day of line management;
  • Have ambition, hunger for success and be driven by targets
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
  • Have experience and interest in related fields e.g. technology, B2B sales, software, real estate.
