What You Will Do
As the leader in the business you will be at the forefront of all data analysis in their business. As a Head of Analytics:
You’ll develop and execute the data strategy across the business - enabling their sales, partnerships and supporting teams through the provision of insights, predictive modelling and machine learning products, reporting and self-service solutions.
You’ll develop new dashboards and automation, building regular reporting to be an essential part of the business
You’ll work with the engineering team on building the data warehousing processes.
You’ll be hands on, but your focus will be on the development of the Commercial data group managing the delivery of tasks and projects from inception.
You’ll be responsible for being the champion of data-led decisions, delivering detailed insight and data-driven products that improve decision-making.
You’ll work closely with your peers in the team to ensure the delivery of the data strategy across the organisation.
You’ll hold your peers accountable and set high standards for the provision of data.
You’ll act as an advisor and partner to the commercial team and support them to improve performance outcomes through the use of data and technology.
What You Will Bring
You bring 7+ years’ experience, ideally including start-up experience, to enable you to build a data first culture. You’ll easily be able to demonstrate that:
You are a burgeoning data leader; you have led small teams and now you are ready to build a function.
You’re inquisitive about data, you are continuously thinking about new data streams and what you can learn.
You’ve a strong understanding of one or more areas of data science, including forecasting, experimentation, machine learning and predictive modelling. You understand the art and science of deriving meaningful commercial insights and can develop a robust production system.
You are able to bring others on the data journey, educating those around you to show how data can help them achieve more.
Fluent in SQL, Python, R
You’re pragmatic, you’ve got keen commercial instincts and you can readily demonstrate how your skills have built business value. You’re excited by the technology, but you know it’s a means to a bigger purpose.
You’ve got demonstrable experience in developing data solutions in commercial environments. You know how to shape requirements and work productively to achieve impact. You can navigate the short and long-term trade-offs and manage your stakeholders.
You’ve got a keen eye for detail and are renowned for having high standards in your work.
You can capture people’s attention and explain complex ideas whether you’re presenting to a room full of senior leaders or writing an email.
