Our Client is searching for a Geometric Engine Developer.

About the Role

Our Client is on a mission to empower people to design and build the infrastructure that supports life on Earth and beyond. By enhancing human capabilities, they enable both technical and non-technical users to design, estimate, and plan construction projects more intelligently and efficiently.
In this role, you will contribute to the company’s core 3D and graphics initiatives, working on areas such as 3D geometry and parametric modelling, procedural generation, and real-time web-based interactions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop tools and systems that push the boundaries of human–machine collaboration.
If you are driven by ambitious missions, love tackling complex technical challenges, and are not afraid to explore bold ideas (and fail often in the process), this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement advanced graphics functionality for a professional-grade 3D modelling platform.
  • Work extensively with geometric modelling kernels such as Parasolid, Datakit, or equivalent systems.
  • Develop scalable 3D modelling capabilities for storing, transmitting, and rendering large and complex datasets.
  • Build and optimize high-performance rendering pipelines using technologies like WebGL, WebGPU, or similar, supporting sophisticated architectural and engineering workflows.
  • Enhance platform performance, stability, and responsiveness, ensuring smooth interaction even with large-scale BIM and geometry models.
  • Create and refine tools for procedural and parametric generation, enabling flexible and intelligent 3D design workflows.
  • Continuously improve existing features and develop new functionality with a high degree of ownership and autonomy.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate 3D solutions across the broader product ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience or a portfolio demonstrating technically exceptional projects.
  • Graphics Expertise: Strong understanding of computer graphics fundamentals, including experience with APIs such as Vulkan or OpenGL, and familiarity with 3D formats and tools (e.g., Blender, Unreal Engine, or similar).
  • Geometry & Algorithms: Ability to design and implement advanced algorithms leveraging Boundary Representation (BRep) concepts and queries.
  • CAD Systems: Deep understanding of the internal architecture and workflows of 3D CAD and modeling applications such as Blender, Maya, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or their equivalents.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and solid grounding in computer graphics principles.
  • Core CS Knowledge: Excellent grasp of algorithms, data structures, and computational geometry.
  • Collaboration: Enjoys working closely with teammates across disciplines to solve complex challenges.
  • Adaptability: Fast learner with a passion for continuous technical growth and experimentation.

Good to Have

  • Proven experience in building and deploying 3D applications for the web, with an understanding of performance, scalability, and user interaction design.
  • Proficiency in backend development using technologies such as Python or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with machine learning, 3D geometry processing, convex optimization, and physics-based simulation techniques.
  • Domain experience in construction, architecture, aerospace, or automotive industries is highly advantageous.
