About the Role: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee their manufacturing facility for electric vehicle charging stations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and a background in the electric vehicle industry. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of their manufacturing business and operations. This includes business financials, product production decision, expansion of operations, and staffing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of an EV charging equipment manufacturing facility, hiring the core team of manufacturing professionals, and deploying a proven business model of operation for sustainable growth
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity
- Install effective operational controls to ensure the highest level of product quality and safety
- Manage and oversee all aspects of manufacturing, including sales, production planning, scheduling, and shipment
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure EV charging products are being built to specification and within the acceptable tolerances
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for process optimization
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and customers to ensure the smooth operation of the manufacturing facility
- Develop and manage operational budgets and ensure that the company operates within financial guidelines
- Oversee the logistics of shipping and receiving products to and from the facility
- Work with upper management to develop and implement long-term EV charging product manufacturing strategies to support company growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing management, with a strong background in the electric vehicle industry preferred
- Proven track record of successful leadership in a manufacturing environment (ideally in the production of IOT devices or electrical equipment)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology
- Familiarity with quality control processes and ISO standards
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software programs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability
