About Our Client
Is on a mission to make sustainable housing universally accessible. Their small but ambitious team has built a fully integrated tech stack spanning the value chain, from cloud-based design to pop-up robotic MicroFactories. They have made great progress in building and refining their technology to ensure that their customers (home-builders) can build cost-effectively with timber. They have proven ROI for their first customers and have the cash to scale their business across the UK, EU, and US.

About the Role
As the Founding Sales Lead, you will spearhead my client’s commercial efforts as they scale their sustainable timber housing solution through distributed robotic micro-factories. Until now, sales have been founder-led—this is a unique opportunity to be the first dedicated sales hire and play a key role in growing the team in the coming months and years. Reporting to the CEO, you will hit the ground running, benefiting from a pipeline of engaged home-builders.
  
Responsibilities

  • Strategy: Own and execute the next stage of my client’s commercial strategy, expanding their customer base from a few to dozens of clients.
  • Funnel: Manage the entire sales process—from identifying qualified leads to securing deals and ensuring successful implementation.
  • Playbook: Build and continuously refine the playbook for my client’s sales process, ensuring scalability and adaptability to different markets.
  • Collateral: Develop and refine KPIs and marketing materials to support sales efforts and strengthen their market position.
  • Customer Insights: Engage with customers to understand their needs and pain points, providing valuable feedback to influence the product roadmap.
  • Team Growth: As the first full-time commercial hire, you will be resourceful and hands-on, with plans to build and eventually lead a high-performing sales team.

  
Qualifications & Person Specification

  • 5+ Years Experience: Proven track record in sales, ideally within the construction or building industry. Experience selling complex products is a plus.
  • Hands-On Mindset: A “do-er” who takes ownership and executes effectively.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of business models and customer ROI.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams (including R&D).
  • Growth Mindset: Comfortable with ambiguity and thriving in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Values-Driven: Passionate about making a positive impact on the environment and people’s lives through sustainable housing solutions.
  • Location: Based in London or able to work in the office at least three days a week to collaborate effectively.
