You Will:

• Take ownership of software engineering within one of our client’s cross-functional squads
• Build and manage a world class team of software engineers by hiring, training, and cultivating the best talent
• Foster high performance and agile best practice within the squad
• Lead key engineering projects within the squad, and provide architectural and technical direction to the delivery teams
• Collaborate with the other engineering squad leads and the architect group to ensure consistency and best practice across the company
• Help build an environment and culture centred around:

  • Working end to end on business problems in collaboration with other departments

Requirements

• Rock-solid computer science and programming fundamentals, and hands-on experience of leading the development of large-scale software projects
• Familiarity with high-growth start-up environments, with the creative problem-solving ability to adapt rapidly to a changing landscape
• Experience of hiring and managing top talent to establish and grow technology teams
• Experience of designing and developing software applications from the implementation level to the architectural level
• A proven ability to take projects from rough ideas and experiments through to robust solutions
• A demonstrated track record of using agile development methodologies and techniques to successfully deliver great software
