A fast-growing technology company is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Director of Product Marketing to help accelerate growth through effective go-to-market strategies and lifecycle marketing initiatives. Our Client is looking for a dynamic leader who can guide a high-performing marketing team and collaborate closely with product partners to bridge the gap between new innovations and a large, diverse customer base.
The ideal candidate will drive GTM planning, enhance feature adoption, and work cross-functionally to deliver successful product launches. This role is central to introducing new capabilities to the market, deeply understanding user needs, and engaging customers at the right moments with the right messages to support their success.
  
Key Responsibilities

  • Own key growth outcomes: Drive adoption and acquisition goals by continually refining the full commercialization funnel to accelerate overall business performance.
  • Lead lifecycle marketing efforts: Create and implement lifecycle strategies that engage and convert users through targeted, timely communications.
  • Oversee go-to-market execution: Guide the organization’s GTM approach for new products, feature enhancements, and major releases to ensure strong rollout and customer uptake.
  • Align marketing with product direction: Act as a primary strategic partner to product leadership, ensuring marketing initiatives are tightly connected to product roadmaps and priorities.
  • Champion customer understanding: Lead and participate in user research to inform decisions across product, marketing, and broader company initiatives.
  • Identify revenue opportunities: Surface and communicate new opportunities to enhance monetization across offerings and product lines.
  • Develop and lead high-performing teams: Manage, mentor, and empower product marketing team members to deliver impactful work aligned with company objectives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience launching and commercializing software products.
  • 5+ years in product marketing, including 3+ years leading teams focused on product and/or lifecycle marketing.
  • 3+ years working in fast-paced startup environments, including experience with change management and developing initial positioning and messaging.
  • Proven track record of taking multiple products to market across various channels.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex customer and market data to build persuasive business cases for product investments and go-to-market strategies.
  • Professional PMA or Pragmatic certification (organization will support obtaining this).
  • Exceptional prioritization skills aligned with company-level goals.
  • Experience contributing to strategic planning at the organizational level.
  • History of consistently meeting or exceeding performance targets.
  • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to craft impactful messaging.
  • Hands-on experience with in-product communication tools (e.g., Intercom or similar).
  • Familiarity with CRMs, segmentation, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong presentation skills, including deck creation and public speaking.
  • Established project management processes or playbooks.
  • Ability to manage product launches with a P&L mindset, including modeling business impact (e.g., ARR/ROI) and monitoring post-launch performance.
