About the Role

As the Director of Product Management for Public Sector, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product strategy and development for their utility data platform tailored to meet the unique needs of DOTs and municipalities. You will lead the entire product development cycle driving the translation of product strategy into tangible capabilities that address real-world challenges in the public sector.

Identify the Problem:

  • Research and analyze public sector use cases to identify critical challenges and opportunities. 

Manage Solution Definition and Delivery:

  • Develop a robust solution design by aligning capabilities with use cases.
  • Define clear epics and user stories for Engineering and UX teams.

Balance Strategy with Execution:

  • Maintain a dynamic product roadmap aligned with business strategies.
  • Manage the backlog for timely feature delivery.

Collaborate and Validate:

  • Work closely with Engineering on release cycles.
  • Validate designs and prototypes through stakeholder engagement.

Roadmap Development:

  • Prepare and evangelize the product roadmap for short- and long-term releases.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with Leadership, Sales, Marketing, and Support for successful releases.
  • Provide insights for effective go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications & Person Specification

  • Location: US-based, preferably in Austin, Texas.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in product management with a proven track record of successful product launches and revenue growth.
  • Experience in product management within DOTs and Municipalities is advantageous.
  • Experience working on a new product from the ground up using agile methods, finding product-market-fit and throughout growth stages.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills, utilizing analytics and market insights.
  • Deep understanding of the utility industry, market trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align product strategies with overall business goals.
  • High attention to detail and a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple initiatives.
