About the Role
 
Our Client is seeking a commercially oriented Chief Executive Officer to lead this next phase: working closely with the founding team and designing the revenue and operating model required to evolve from a portfolio of high-value, custom engagements into a scaled, category-leading enterprise.
This is a hands-on, “build-as-you-scale” leadership role that blends go-to-market execution, strategic direction, company building, and thought leadership in applied AI.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Executive Leadership

  • Lead and motivate a cross-functional leadership team and broader organization
  • Define and clearly communicate strategic direction, and drive disciplined execution
  • Recruit, develop, and retain senior and emerging talent as the company scales
  • Maintain full accountability for financial performance and company-wide success metrics
  • Oversee performance management across leadership, staff, and critical external partners

Commercial & Sales Leadership

  • Own and evolve the commercial strategy, including pricing, packaging, and market positioning
  • Personally lead high-impact enterprise opportunities from initial engagement through close
  • Structure and negotiate complex, bespoke commercial agreements
  • Build, scale, and manage the sales organization and supporting infrastructure
  • Activate advisor, investor, and partner networks to accelerate pipeline development
  • Establish a repeatable, scalable go-to-market motion

Client & Market Leadership

  • Act as a senior executive sponsor for key clients across ownership, development, construction, and service organizations
  • Develop a deep understanding of client operating models, workflows, and transformation priorities
  • Translate advanced technology capabilities into clear ROI narratives for executive and frontline audiences
  • Position the company as a long-term strategic partner embedded within client operations
  • Identify recurring engagement patterns and convert them into standardized offerings and productized services

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a founder’s mindset, including setting vision, establishing values, and driving operating rhythm
  • Strong bias toward action with exceptional execution discipline, project management capability, and high personal throughput
  • Proven experience leading and scaling fast-growing, technology-driven, globally distributed teams
  • Deep expertise in business development and managing complex, long-cycle enterprise sales processes
  • Executive-level credibility and presence with senior industry stakeholders, with the ability to align diverse parties around a shared strategic vision
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
  • High intellectual curiosity and a learning orientation, particularly with respect to emerging technologies and applied AI/software
  • Highly collaborative leadership style, paired with the ability to operate autonomously and make independent decisions
