PropTech Business Development Representative EMEA role based Remotely in the UK


Our client has developed the leading ESG (environmental, social, governance) data management solution for commercial real estate—and they’re looking forward to doing so much more. Their team is a diverse group of innovators, leaders, and creators who are passionate about the work they do. They believe technology plays a central role in creating a sustainable, equitable world, and they’re working to build something that matters. At the company, the Business Development Representative, EMEA, serves as the first point of connection to the company for new customers in EMEA. Their focus is to identify and qualify new clients and develop relationships through prospecting, researching, and outreach.

This position is remote, however candidates must be based in either the United Kingdom, Germany, or the Netherlands.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Prospecting & Research:

  • Research and identify potential customers that align with our client’s target market
  • Research company contacts to determine the appropriate person to contact
  • Stay up to date on ESG, sustainability, and industry news
  • Continue to prospect in the face of adversity and/or rejection with resilience and optimism
  • Utilize creative prospecting techniques to locate potential contacts and connect with them
  • Grow and manage pipeline in HubSpot
  • Manage and update CRM data to reflect the most up to date information


  • Use research to connect with potential customers through methods of cold contacts
  • Qualify candidate companies & contacts through discovery meetings
  • Create an amazing first impression with prospects through emails, discovery calls, and other interactions
  • Build unique strategies for key accounts & resurrect stalled deals
  • Facilitate introductions to Account Executives
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with potential customers and provide them updates on our client’s products and services
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be fluent in English and Dutch or English and German
  • Must be located in either the United Kingdom, Germany, or the Netherlands
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with others in a diverse, multiethnic and multicultural work environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, decentralized environment.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work independently
  • Emotionally resilient in the face of sales rejections and the ability to self motivate in spite of rejection
  • Natural Conversationalist
  • Coachable
Education & Experience:

Our client has identified the following programs, experience, and knowledge that have helped others find success in this role at the company. They understand though that knowledge comes from many forms of learning and experiences. Above all, they consider a person’s potential impact in the role and value their unique path to this point in their career.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 6 months to a year of experience in a Sales role
  • LEED Green Certification or any other ESG/sustainability related certification
  • A combination of professional or educational experience (whether formal or informal) that affords you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities above
