You’ll be joining a demanding, ambitious technology company at an early stage, so they will expect you to take ownership and feel responsibility for a broad range of activities that will help them succeed.

They are seeking a full-time BDE to join their growing sales team. This is a critical role focused on acquiring and growing new customers and successfully getting them to adopt Spec. This is an ideal role for someone looking to have an impact on the real estate industry but also looking to shape and contribute to the culture of their Singapore team.

Role Context and Responsibilities

As a prop-tech startup, our client is looking for individuals that are able to grow and develop in their roles. The BDE has specific responsibilities in acquiring customers (brokers, agents, developers, landlords, etc…) and growing them through their first 90 days on their platform. This includes:

• Prospecting for new business (both from lists given as well as           knowing/researching the market)
• Daily cold calling, video calls and face to face meetings with prospects
• Scheduling sales meetings between prospects and sales managers
• Closing new business opportunities
• Acting as an ambassador across social channels, events, and in with  customers and in line with
communication guidelines.
• Presenting to internal and external decision-makers
• Review completed orders and delivery with customers
• Account management of existing clients
• Resolving client concerns together with customer service
• Market research on potential clients and competitors
• You will be given targets to achieve as part of the role

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced technology environment and understand how estate agents operate and use technology. In addition, the following requirements are necessary:

Real Estate Experience:
• Prior sales experience, ideally in residential real estate (brokers, agents, landlords, developers, etc…)
• Verifiable network of contacts in the industry
• Working knowledge of the Singapore real estate market including major brands, brokers, developments, and trends
• Real Estate Broker or Salesperson License (ideal)

• Ambition, hunger for success, and driven by targets

Communication:
• Articulate communicator who can build relationships quickly
• Compelling, credible, and effective communicator at all levels
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills

• Visible confidence and charisma, and comfortable in dynamic environments
• Exceptional planning, organizational and time-management skills
• Highly collaborative with the rest of the Sales team, leadership team, and all parts of the business

Analytical:
• Target-driven and able to assess market opportunities
• Demonstrable ability to analyze customers’ needs and opportunities
• An ability to reflect on dynamic market needs and the ability to formulate a plan and approach

Key Working Relationships:
• Senior Stakeholders – Head of Spec / GM Singapore
• Sales team – mixture of senior and junior business development executives and account managers
• Operations – Digital Surveyors
• External stakeholders (Clients, Digital Surveyors, Postproduction teams etc.)
• Local developers, realtors and real estate agencies

What might an average week look like?
Their Singapore sales team is small (growing) and dynamic. A typical day for the BDE will vary based on customer and business needs. Frequent team interaction, collaboration, and information sharing are expected as part of the role. They expect a significant amount of interaction and communication
with customers as well as calls. It is important that customers build trust with you.

Your time might be split between client calls and internal meetings with your team. You will not take No for an answer and find innovative ways to sell into the Singapore market. You will follow up with prospective clients daily whilst growing your pipeline of new leads.
