Role Summary
 
The Business Development and Sales Lead will be instrumental in transforming company’s sales journey. This role requires a visionary leader capable of establishing a robust commercial structure, refining the pricing and business model strategy, and fostering a high-performing team dedicated to exceeding sales targets and delivering exceptional customer success.
 
Responsibilities
 
Business Development:

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the construction and data center sectors, including developers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., project managers, procurement teams, and executives).
  • Research and understand market trends, customer pain points, and competitive landscape to tailor offerings effectively.
  • Develop partnerships with relevant stakeholders such as real estate private equity firms, subcontractors, and industry organizations.

Sales:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, showcasing how the company can solve industry-specific challenges (e.g., labor shortages, supply chain risks, and material tracking).
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage leads, track sales activities, and report on progress.

Collaboration & Feedback:

  • Work closely with the product and marketing teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and market positioning.
  • Provide customer feedback to inform product development and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualifications
 
Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in the construction or tech industries.
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows, supply chain challenges, or project management processes.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and sales analytics.

Preferred:

  • Experience selling SaaS platforms or technology solutions for construction or industrial markets.
  • Familiarity with construction workflows
  • Knowledge of AI-driven solutions and their applications in construction.
  • Existing network of contacts within the construction industry.
