£60,000 + Commission on each deal

The Client:
Our client are a leading developer, owner, and operator of data centres designed specifically to accommodate AI workloads. Their facilities employ the most advanced cooling systems, including immersion, and allow their customers to deploy state-of-the-art hardware.

Job Description:
Joining as an Associate, you will play a fundamental part of the company’s growth, on both the data centre and customer sides. Your role will involve evaluating, executing, and managing the acquisitions of data centres and real estate assets that will be converted to data centres. You will be working closely alongside the Founder to identify attractive investment opportunities, conduct due diligence, and support the operations team in achieving their strategic objectives. On the customer side, you will help support growth and expansion of existing customer relationships, perform research to identify new customers, and assist in the marketing and sales materials creation process.

Key Responsibilities:
  
Deal Evaluation & Execution:

  • Conduct comprehensive industry research and analysis to identify investment opportunities in the data center sector.
  • Analyze financial statements, perform valuation models, and assess potential risks and returns associated with prospective investments.
  • Support due diligence efforts, including coordinating with third-party advisors, conducting site visits, and assessing operational and financial performance.

  
Investment Structuring and Negotiation:

  • Assist in structuring investment transactions, including negotiating terms and conditions with counterparties.
  • Collaborate with legal and financial teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and adherence to internal investment guidelines.

  
Portfolio Management:

  • Monitor the performance of our data centres, including financial and operational metrics.
  • Work closely with management teams to identify value creation opportunities and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of exit strategies, including IPOs, mergers, or asset sales.

  
Industry Research and Analysis:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies within the data centre sector.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the investment team based on market intelligence and analysis.

  
Customer Growth Initiatives:

  • Support in the development and implementation of strategies to attract new customers and expand existing customer base.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and promotional activities.
  • Assist in identifying customer needs and preferences to tailor solutions and enhance customer experience.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and implement initiatives to improve customer retention.

  
Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential data center sellers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration and synergy between internal teams and external partners to drive mutual success.

  
Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or corporate finance, with exposure to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and engage with diverse stakeholder.
  • Demonstrated interest in the technology and data centre industry, with a passion for understanding market dynamics and investment opportunities.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on driving business growth and achieving targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
