Our client is looking for a skilled Business Development Manager. As a direct report of the Global EVP Commercial, they will be an important contributor to the planned growth and a key brand ambassador for the company.

Purpose of the role:

  • The primary focus of the role will be to identify, acquire and nurture desirable new clients in a given territory. These clients will have the potential to become material contributors to the company’s onwards growth.

Role responsibilities & Experience:

  • Commercial Real Estate experience and an expert understanding of property and asset management
  • A demonstrable network of contacts within your territory or location within commercial real estate
  • Identifying buyers or influencers in each of the target clients using relevant tools
  • A track record of delivering new logo contracts and new business opportunities to support growth targets
  • A proven ability to attain and exceed sales targets and a proven method to build your pipeline
  • An understanding of SaaS sales process to manage lead to contract execution
  • A proven ability to “land and expand” new customer opportunities through working closely with C-level contacts
  • Proven experience working as a Growth Manager, Business Development Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager or relevant role.

Soft and Technical Skills:

  • Able to demonstrate an ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders, including executive and C-level
  • Expert in territory development skills including, building lists, persona targets, best practice outreach, follow up, and securing initial calls/meetings – to gain interest and understand client requirements
  • Proven flair for client communication and understanding client behaviour and value proposition / objectives – a great “StoryTeller”
  • Ability to navigate selling a suite of tools, understand multiple customer benefits/problems and discover client needs
  • Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office/Google Suite (specific focus on Google Slides/PowerPoint and Google Sheets/Excel)

General Responsibilities:

  • Identify & build appropriate insight on target clients/individuals to tailor initial GTM approach
  • Support completion of pre-tender engagement and tender submissions
  • Build an understanding of prospects requirements and needs through initial discovery meetings
  • Work with marketing to create material required to solutionize needs
  • Leading client pitches and technical demos to target prospects
  • Proactively pursuing target prospects through disciplined execution of the sales process to acquire a target number of new client acquisitions per quarter
  • Support initial product implementations through to completion
  • Developing early relationships within newly acquired client accounts
  • Timely, accurate, and consistent recording of all business development activity and intelligence in CRM.
