In this uncertain time, the team at LM Living have been talking about the changes to our daily routine that whilst aren’t welcomed, are beneficial to our wellbeing. As we are all working from home we have loved having no commute, or at least agreed the short commute to our desks at home is easy. As we have gained in some cases, an extra two hours of our day back, we have been talking about our workout routines and how we have adapted to working out from home.
We loved watching our friends at Moda in Manchester hosting a ‘Self Isolation Community Workout’ last Saturday Morning. In the video posted online we can see residents of the Moda Angel Gardens site following the instructions of Laura from Hero Training Clubs from their balconies. Residents took part in a 30-minute HIIT workout and we all agreed it looked like a great but tough workout and a lot of fun! As Moda said ‘Staying in doesn’t mean staying still’.
It is great to see Build-to-Rent companies around the UK adapting to the new circumstances of self-isolation and staying at home to combat the spread of Covid-19. As we all know, community spirit and communities coming together is very important at the moment. We loved watching the Moda community working out together despite the conditions, they will also be turning their monthly wellbeing classes into weekly workouts. We feel that this highlights the community spirit of BTR.
At LM Living we are attempting the SHREDDY 14 Day home workout Challenge (found on Instagram @Shreddy), it is a great way of getting the blood pumping from the comfort of your own home and pretty challenging. Another challenge we have come across is the Covid-19K Challenge on the Strava running app. The aim is to run, walk or cycle at least 19K a week (ensuring you keep your distance from others). Over 62,654 athletes have already signed up, a great motivator to the body moving.
We look forward to seeing and hearing how others are keeping moving during lockdown. Feel free to get in contact with the LM Living team we are here to help with advising on CVs and have many new roles to discuss.
